Established in 2016, the School of Computing is one of the ﬁrst academic units to be established at BCI Campus. This Department was set up with the aim of oﬀering a broad range of career-focused innovative programmes in the area of Information and Communication Technology. The Department currently offers some 15 Certiﬁcate and Advanced Certificate programmes covering popular subjects such as general ICT, Networking, Graphic Design, Hardware Engineering, Web Design and Programming Languages.
Certificate in Information & Communication Technology (ICT) has been designed to educate students in the essentials of ICT. While providing the students with a fundamental knowledge of the subject it will also develop the basic skills required to operate in an IT enabled study/work environment.
This study program provides its students with a fundamental theoretical understanding of Hardware Engineering and Network Administration, and develops the skills required to design, install, administer and maintain computer and network systems.
This program is designed for individuals who wish to develop their careers in the fields of engineering, architectural design or any other discipline, in which AutoCAD will be used. Students who follow this programme will receive a thorough understanding of the key concepts of AutoCAD application with opportunity to engage in hands-on work.
This programme has been designed to equip students with a fundamental knowledge of the concepts, skills and tools used in Graphic Designing. It is focused on helping students organize and present information using popular software .
The Certificate in Web Designing is a 3-month course designed to educate students with required technologies in web designing. Great deal of hands-on knowledge is given as students need to develop web sites using popular CMSs Joomla and WordPress.
