BCI Campus launches Degree Programmes with an Orientation Session

BCI welcomed the first cohort of prospective students who wished to register for the inaugural undergraduate programme on Saturday the 9th of January. The students and their parents sat at a special information session where they were welcomed by Rev. Fr Eranga de Silva, who stressed upon BCI’s mission to produce a well-rounded graduate who was not only savvy in his discipline but is an exemplary citizen. Dr Thushari Silva, conducted a comprehensive session on the future prospects of an IT graduate who would read the BSc in Information Technology Hons. programme at BCI. Ms Ruwani Perera, coordinator of BCI Faculty of Business Management addressed the students on choosing BCI to read for a management degree. Students were also educated by Mr Buddhika Kotinkaduwa on the university preparation programme (BRIDGE) that has been designed to ensure that the undergraduates receive a smooth and effective transition to university education. Mr Neil Dahanayake representing HNB, informed the audience about the collateral free student loan scheme offered to BCI undergraduates. The audience was then invited to join a guided tour of the campus followed by the facilitation of personal information sessions where the students accompanied by their parents received the opportunity to discuss academic and finance related matters with the faculty and dedicated administrators.
